Kyleigh Dye (Owner/Director)

Kyleigh began tumbling and dancing as soon as she was born! Her first time on stage was when she was just 16 months old appearing as "Tiger Lil." She has had a variety of teachers, her all-time favorite is Tania Wheeler. Competitive dance has always played a huge role in Kyleigh's life. She has queened many times and holds several "Regional" and "National" Over-All Queen titles at the Professional level. Kyleigh was the Head Drill Mistress her senior year in high school as well as an All State Drill Team Member. The Dancer’s Edge Competition Team begins their 16th season with numerous trophies & titles to their credit. Kyleigh is most proud of winning the Judges Choice Award, Technical Performance & Outstanding Choreography. Kyleigh loves living in Roosevelt with her husband Colby, teaching where she was once taught and now continues the tradition herself. She is so proud to be a mom to 3 month old Ryleigh Beck, 8 yr. old Maxleigh Jo and 12 yr. old son Treyson.  

Troy Cooper

Troy began teaching boys tumbling and aerial acrobatics in 1979. He is a certified instructor of the "Rozanes" Ambidextrous method of tumbling. Troy taught on the "vault" at the Kurt Thomas clinic in Casper, WY. (The famous "Thomas Flair" was performed at the clinic for the very first time!) Troy has coached in Wyoming, Idaho and Utah.  He is an awesome teacher at any tumbling level and would be irreplaceable! The Dancer's Edge Studio is GRATEFUL and THRILLED to have Troy in and "AFTER HOURS" capacity!  

Michelle Bennett

Michelle knew she wanted to dance as soon as she entered the studio at age four. Growing up, she had success as a competitor in both team and solo competition. Michelle was a student at Roosevelt Academy of Arts, where she found tumbling came naturally to herself and where she enjoyed performing on the Show-Biz & Company Exhibition Team. Michelle was a Union high Cougarette for all 3 of her high school years AND an “All State” Drill Team member. She is happy to live in the Uintah Basin with her husband Nick and ecstatic to be doing what she likes to do most, teaching dance. Michelle is a mom to her 15 yr. old son, Kyler, 12 yr. old daughter, Jaylee, 7 yr. old daughter, Leighton and 3 year old, Madden. She is the choreographer and director to “The Dancer’s Edge”., encouraging young dancers to become their very best. 

Sarah Garcia

Sarah began dancing at the age of 3 yrs. When she turned 5, she auditioned and became a member of the Roosevelt Stars. There, she competed as a team member AND as a soloists. Sarah was member of the U.H.S. Cougarettes, serving as Drill Mistress her senior year. In 2007, Sarah and Kyleigh auditioned the very first "Dancer's Edge" competition team at Roosevelt Academy of Arts. After 2 years, Sarah moved to Orem to complete her schooling, graduating with a degree in DANCE and Business Management. While there, Sarah traveled to China where she served as the creative director of the Cultural Envoy dance team, performing throughout cities including Hong Kong and Shanghai, which was a trip of a lifetime. Sarah returned to the Uintah Basin in 2014 with her husband, Kyle, and her now 10 yr. old daughter Kaia. Sarah was the Union High School drill team coach for 6 years. In her final season as head coach she was awarded the 3A DRILL TEAM COACH OF THE YEAR!

Sydney Bolton

The Dancer's Edge Studio welcomes *Sydney Bolton* as their newest teacher. 
Sydney started dancing at the age of 8 at The Dancers Edge Studio formerly know as "Roosevelt Academy of Arts". Where she competed on the The Dancer's Edge Company till she was a junior in high school. She then was a member of the Union High Schools drill team for four years holding different captain positions. After graduation Sydney attended Snow College while dancing on the Badgerettes dance team for two years. While attending college She took multiple dance classes and had loved every minute of it. Sydney just recently moved back to Roosevelt and is attending USU.  This coming year she will be a Kindergarten teacher at Kings Peak Elementary. Sydney loves dance and working with kids more than anything. We are so excited to have Sydney part of The Dancer's Edge Studio Staff!

Chantel Townsend

Chantel, born and raised in Roosevelt, Utah, has been dancing for twenty four+ years training in ballet, lyrical, contemporary, jazz, pom, tap and hip hop. She grew up dancing in multiple studios, traveling/competing in states from California to New York, earning dance scholarships and being named an All-American Dancer. In high school, Chantel was a Cougarette for four years, obtaining a captain position for two. She was named two time BDT Top Corp, two time Miss Drill Utah 3A, two time All-State Dancer, All-Region recipient, Dance Sterling Scholar and Academic All-State recipient. After graduating from Union High School, Chantel went on to dance for the University of Utah for four years, being named the choreographer her third year and captain her fourth. While on the U’s Dance Team, she attended ProAction twice representing her collegiate dance team and earned the special awards of Outstanding Performer, Hardest Worker and MVP. Moving into the professional dancing world, Chantel danced for the ZYIA Active Utah Jazz Dancers for four years, being named choreography captain her last year. She danced for thousands of fans, attended ProAction yet again, donated to the Utah community through many events and even travelled to China with the NBA. Now Chantel likes to focus on EPIC Productions and choreography. She has been working for EPIC since 2014 where she teaches summer intensive camps to thousands of dancers/cheerleaders each year, and has also spent over a decade growing her choreography business. She has choreographed for teams in Nevada, Wyoming, Idaho and Utah, including soloists, cheer teams, drill teams, studio dance teams and the Utah Jazz Dancers. She choreographs in all dance/cheer styles, but her favorites are hip hop, pom and contemporary. She is currently earning her Personal Training Certificate and has a true passion for overall fitness - mental and physical. Finally, Chantel is on a new adventure, as she just became Union’s new Drill Team Head Coach. She has always dreamed of coaching Drill Team, especially at her home town school. Go Cougs!

Halle Eschler

Halle started dancing at the Dancers Edge studio at the age of 4 years old. She danced at this studio for 12 years winning many overall dance awards at studio competitions and conventions. From there Halle entered high school and was a part of the Union High Drill Team for 4 years. During these 4 years Halle held the positions of Dance Captain and Head Captain. Throughout her experience on the drill team, Halle won many Overall soloist awards. She was also involved with pageants and won the Overall Dancer award, the Newcomer ward, and the Overall fitness award at Miss Utah. After graduating high school Halle decided to attend Southern Utah University and is now entering her second year on SUU’s Division 1 dance team. Halle continues her love for dance by choreographing solos and team dances. She is super excited and looking forward to teaching classes at the Dancer's Edge Studio.

Ashlyn Riding

Ashlyn started dancing at Roosevelt Academy of Arts when she was just three years old. She continued to dance and compete with The Dancer’s Edge all throughout high school. She was also apart of the Union High School Drill Team for four years and served as Team Rep captain her sophomore year, and Head Captain her junior and senior year. Ashlyn graduated from Union High in May of 2021 and has spent the last few months continuing her education at Utah Valley University. She has recently moved home for the summer and is so excited to teach at The Dancer’s Edge Studio! 

Emma Womack

Emma Womack grew up here in Roosevelt dancing at The Dancer’s Edge, and when she hit high school she danced on the UHS drill team. Emma graduated high school and afterward's decided to go on a LDS mission to Cape Verde Africa and Boston Massachusetts. She completed her mission the summer of 2021 and soon after was hired to be a Special ED Aide at the Kings Peak Elementary school. Emma decided to continue her education through BYU-PATHWAY online. She has always loved to dance and is excited to continue working at The Dancer's Edge Studio. Where she can help and learn with the other staff members.

Shanna Riding

Shanna is going in to her 9th season as OFFICE MANAGER. She is amazing at what she does and makes the studio run like a well oiled machine. We could not do it without her! Shanna and her husband, Bobby, have three beautiful children, Makaylee, Ashlyn, Blake and daughter in-law Tennessee.

Deon Cooper (Founder)

Deon began her dance experience at Rick's College while only 3 years old. She studied dance and gymnastics under the direction of Lolita Shirley and the remarkable Paunie Van Ordern, both of Idaho. Additionally, she certified in the "Rozanes Method of Acrobatics" at KLARKS in Casper, Wyoming. Deon taught for 28 years, instructing Jazz, Tap, Clogging, Aerobics, Tumbling, Gymnastics (which included all four events (Balance Beam, Uneven Bars, Vault, & Floor Exercise.) She judged numerous gymnastics meets and was the head coach at Madison Jr. High. Deon was selected among numerous coaches to teach the "beam" at the Kurt Thomas clinic, an honor she will never forget. She has owned and directed her own studio for the past 40 years and retired in 2021. Deon fulfilled a child hood dream of teaching children. She has three children (Ashley, Dillon, Kyleigh) and eight very special grandchildren, Karson, Alisandra, Treyson, Maxleigh, Odette, Dimitri, Ryleigh and Birdie!
